Christmas Parades - Get in the Holiday Spirit!
Christmas parade lovers come one, come all! For those of you eagerly awaiting the start of the holiday season, here is a schedule of the upcoming Christmas parades. Grab your coat, hot chocolate and some friends and head out for a few hours of holiday cheer!
51st Annual Apex Christmas Parade
The 51st annual Apex Christmas Parade, sponsored by the Apex Jaycees, will be held on December 6th at 5:00pm.
The parade will begin on Salem Street and will feature local school bands, local merchant floats, scout troops, antique cars, majorettes and of course, Santa Claus! Salem Street will be closed from 4pm through 8pm and Apex Peakway will be closed from 3pm through 8pm.
Cary Jaycees Christmas Parade
For the past 29 years, the Cary Jaycees have sponsored the Christmas Parade. Starting at Chatham Street and ending at Academy Street, the Christmas parade will be on December 13th at 2pm.
The parade includes local bans, mascots, businesses, community groups and churches. If you would like to participate in the parade, you can still submit your application until November 30th. For more information please click here.
Chapel Hill-Carrboro Holiday Parade
Saturday December 13th from 10am to 12pm, head downtown to the planetarium where the fun begins.
The Jaycees are putting on the Holiday Parade again this year and are very excited about what's in store. You can still participate in the parade if you can get your application in by November 28th.
Fuquay-Varina Annual Christmas Parade
Line the streets on December 7th hi to Santa Claus in the Fuquay-Varina annual Christmas parade.
Beginning at 3pm, the parade starts Main Street, and will run through downtown ending at Academy. Come out and cheer on local schools, businesses and more!
Happy Holly Days Christmas Parade - Holly Springs
The 14th annual Happy Holly Days Christmas Parade will be on December 13th at 11am.
Featuring floats, marching bands, dancers, horseback riders, scout troops and walking groups, the parade will begin at the entrance to the Oakhall subdivision and run through downtown. To top off the morning, stop by town hall after the parade where sandwiches, hot dogs and hot chocolate will be for sale.
2008 Pittsboro Christmas Parade
Starting at 3pm on December 7th, the Pittsboro Christmas Parade will begin at the Food Lion on Hwy 64 and travel through downtown.
Come on out the check out your favorite school bands, floats, antique cars and tractors and more!
Grab your hats, coats, eggnog lattes and the kids and head on out to your local Christmas parade to join in the holiday festivities!

The week of the parade, each entry will get a color-coded map, line-up instructions, parade exit directions, and a number in line.
