Easter Egg Hunt, "Litter Sweep," and Family Entertainment
The Town of Garner's Parks and Recreation Department is hosting several Easter activities on Saturday April 16, including a "Sweep" of the Lake Benson watershed area, Egg Hunts, an Easter Bunny, kite decorating, inflatables, music, and more.
"Litter Sweep and Big Sweep" Event Details:
Time: Saturday April 16 from 8:30 to 11am
Location: Registration and materials can be picked up at Lake Benson Shelter 1, at 921 Buffaloe Road, Garner
Easter Egg Hunt Event Details:
Time: Saturday, April 16 starting at 11am for kids age 2 and under
Location: Lake Benson Park at 921 Buffaloe Road, Garner
What you Need to Know:
- There will be two Egg Hunts, for ages 3-5 and 6-8
- Bring your own Basket
- Food vendors, live music, and actvities will take place throughout the day, from 10am to 4pm
Other Activities:
- Nature activities: composting, astronomy, birdwatching and water quality
- Children's entertainment: puppeteers, storytelling, roving clowns and jugglers, and martial arts and dance demonstrations

Arts: egg decoration, kite creation, paint on a mural wall, and make your own Scotty McCreery crafts

"Touch-a-Truck" zone: Featuring Garner Public Works trucks, including a cherry picker

"Safety Zone": Featuring Garner Volunteer Fire-Rescue, Garner Police Department, State Highway Patrol and Wake County EMS vehicles
