Easter Activities in Wake Forest

 

Easter events and activities are planned throughtout the Raleigh area, and include: Easter Egg Hunts, Easter Bunny appearances, inflatables, live music, nature activities, educational activities, kite flying, prizes, magic shows, and more.  

Most events are designed for children of all ages. You will find music, food, and entertainment for the entire family. 

 

Wake Forest annual Easter Egg Hunt Details:

Location: E. Carroll Joyner Park (events will be held at the Flaherty Park Community Center, 1226 N. White Street, in case of rain)

Time: Saturday April 9, from 10:30am-2:30pm

Events:

• Four different Easter Egg Hunts, divided by age group, with more than 3,000 eggs
• Special prize for those who discover Golden Eggs

How To Check Property Tax Rates for Wake Forest NC

Whether you're considering relocating from one side of the Triangle to the other, or coming to Raleigh from another state, you've probably wondered what the yearly property taxes might be for your new home.

When were property values last adjusted (assessed)?

Wake Forest, which is located in Wake County, reassessed property values on January 1, 2008.  A number of homes saw an increase of value, particularly since it had been 8 years since the last reassessment. 

How Much are 2010 Property Taxes in Wake Forest?

Here are the 2010 rates, by town within Wake County.  To get the total property tax rate for Wake Forest, simply add the county tax to the town tax.  For example, Wake Forest has a town rate of 0.51, and the Wake County rate is .534.  Add the two together - the total tax rate for Wake Forest, NC is 1.044.

Are 2010 Wake County Property Tax Rates Lower or Higher than 2009 Rates?

Overall Wake County property tax rates did not increase in 2010.  Current property tax rates will be in effect from July 1 2010 to June 30 2011.  Annual tax notices are mailed in July. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

How Do I Figure Out What These Wake County Property Tax Numbers Mean?

It's not as confusing as it looks.  The tax rates are based on the assessed value of the home, not the asking price. 

• Divide the assessed value by 100.
• Multiply the result by the combined rate on the right side of the table.

- Some areas of Wake Forest may be subject to a special district tax rate in addition to the municipal rate.

What County Will My New Home Be In?

When looking at properties, don't take the city address for granted - you could be in a different county, with different tax rates, depending on where exactly the property is located. A Wake Forest address could be in Wake County or Franklin County.

Check the Address of Your New Wake Forest home.

If there's a particular home that you're considering, you can go directly to the Wake County Tax Records site, type in the address, and see the assessed value of the property.   Wake County is not noted for 100% accuracy in assessing the values of property, so what you see may be either higher or lower than the asking value of the property.   If there is a discrepancy, don't be afraid to ask your real estate agent to pull comps for you!
