Friday July 3, 2009 7:30 pm - Sertoma Independence Eve Celebration
Enjoy the Cary Town Band as they help celebrate Independence Day at Fred G Bond Metro Park. Free, open to the public.
Saturday July 4th, 2009, 8am - 3 pm - Independence Day Olde Time Celebration
- Parent-Child Fishing Tournament
- Parade in the Park
- Games and Competitions (Donut Eating, Watermelon Seed Spitting, more)
- Food and Fun
Held at the Fred G Bond Metro Park, near the waterfront.

- Registration starts 7:30 am
- Prizes awarded for largest, smallest fish
- Age groups: 0-10 yrs, 11-17 yrs, 18+ yrs
