Eastgate Park in Raleigh, NC has Features for Everyone
Great Park in Residential Area of North Raleigh
Eastgate Park in Raleigh, NC has a wide range of activities for people of all ages.
Families, friends, and individuals can all spend hours here having fun.
Eastgate Park's main entrance is located at 4200 Quail Hollow Drive, although you can walk there from any direction.
Directions to Eastgate Park:
From Millbrook Rd (just west of Falls of Neuse): South on Quail Hollow Dr,
From Falls of Neuse: West on Hardimont Rd, North on Quail Hollow Dr.
Eastgate Park has a large lake, complete with boardwalks, benches, and lots of ducks (you might have to watch your step in one spot).
All around the lake are nature trails for a quiet walk after work or on the weekends.
For sportier activities, Eastgate Park has tennis courts, basketball, and a huge grass activity field with movable soccer goals of several sizes.
When I visited, I saw one group playing soccer on one side of the field, and a softball game on the other side.
Parents can bring their children to Eastgate Park's playground to enjoy the large sandbox, and jungle gym. The playground has my personal favorite from growing up: the sandbox scooper.
At the parking lot there is an activity center, where you can go to cool off from being outside, sit and talk with friends, and use the clean restrooms.
Whatever your inclination, there is something for you at Eastgate Park. Just minutes away from practically anywhere in Raleigh, it's definitely worth checking out!
