Start your day at the Blue Jay Center for Environmental Education. It's open 8-5pm, 7 days a week, except for just a few holidays. Check out natural habitats found at Falls Lake, and see how Falls Lake fits into the water cycle and helps provide water for the city of Raleigh and surrounding areas.
Blue Jay Point County Park offers 5 miles of hiking trails, in 236 acres. Not only that, the trails connect with North Carolina's Falls Lake Trail, letting "long-haul" hikers see even more natural Raleigh beauty.
Sign the kids up for one of Blue Jay Point's Events, such as Summer Mini Camp "There's an Owl in the Shower" or Eco-Kids "Aquatic Adventures".
The Open Play Field, Tot Lot, and Kids Lot mean lots of great places to let the kids run and play. Bring the frisbies, balls, and kites - there's plenty of room!
