The Cary Senior Center is in Fred G Bond Metro Park, a beautiful 310 acre park in Cary, central to Holly Springs, Apex, Cary, MorrisvilleRaleigh, and much of southern Wake County

Education Seminars

Education Seminars are just one of many offerings by the Cary Senior Center.  Almost all of these are free, and there are a wide variety of topics. 

AARP Tax Help

Every Monday and Wednesday from 1-4 pm, until Monday April 14th.  No registration needed.   First come, first serve.  Bring all necessary paperwork.  Free Activity

 Going to an Elderhostel

There are 8,000 learning adventures, across all 50 states and in more than 90 countries.  This is a not-for-profit organization offers travel packages for older adults.  The Cary Senior Center offers a presentation on the Elderhostel program, and answers questions like these:  What is Elderhostel?  How can I participate?  What are the requirements?

The Legacy of Jewerly

Presented by Joint Venture Estate Jewelers, a Cary jeweler specializing in estate and vintage jewerly.  Learn about the history of jewerly from the Victorian period to today.  Gems and jewerly will be displayed.  Anyone bringing personal jewerly can have a quick evaluation, but not a formal appraisal.

How to Write Your Family's Story

If you've always wanted to make sure the unique story of your family was preserved for generations, attend this workshop!  Elaine Luddy Klonicki, author of All on Account of You: A True WWII Love Story, offers tips for how to get your personal story preserved on paper.  From planning your work, organizing your materials, interviewing family members, and finally to getting your work published.

If you're new to the Raleigh area, or just new to the Cary Senior Center, come enjoy a welcome coffee.  You'll get to tour the facility and learn about all the program offerings.   This includes art, cards, cooking, history, computers, trips and special events!

Therapeutic Aromatherapy for Seniors

Learn how to use therapeutic aromatherapy to help your body heal certain minor problems, and manage pain and discomfort with the use of scents in addition to your medical care.  You'll be taught how to create blends specific to your needs.  Learn recommended dosages, cautions and contradictions for each oil - Cristl Arndt is your instructor.

The Cary Senior Center - Creating Active Retirement Years.  The center offers 17,000 square feet of activities, which includes an exercise room, conference room, and ballroom.
