Here's some great resources to find discounts for weekend retreats around the Raleigh and Fayetteville area in beautiful NC.

There are a variety of sites that offer military travel discounts, including discounts on bed and breakfasts, hotels, motels, and area attractions.
Here's a quick guide on where to find them, and how to search for the best discounts.
Military.com - Can search by state using the key words "hotel", "theme park", or "vacation" to find various North Carolina or national companies offering incentives. Free sign up to see full details of discounts. Check with each company - some promotions are for active duty only, some are for veterans, some include retired military and National Guard or Reserves. There's a lot of national travel information here, but harder to find things specific to the Fayetteville or Raleigh areas.
Bed and Breakfast Inns ONLINE - This link will take you directly to the North Carolina discount page. Discounts range from 10-50%. The bed and breakfasts are located anywhere from Wilmington to Maggie Valley, and does include one location in Durham for a close-to-home stay.
US Army MWR Travel Page Military Campgrounds - Enjoy camping? You can camp at various base campgrounds throughout the country - including six in the state of North Carolina. Fort Bragg's campground is the Smith Lake Army Travel Camp. All are only accessible by current state employees. Rates range from $12-15/night for camping, and most also have cabins available.
VALoans.com - suprisingly enough, this site offers a discounted hotel service. Guess that does make sense, since most likely a short hotel stay will be required when relocating! Rates are advertised at 15-40% below list price. At least nine national chains offer military discounts, and all phone numbers are provided.
MilitaryNow.com - want to fly away for a short stay? This site highlights military airline discounts. Some have special requirements, like paying for the ticket at the counter only. If you're planning to fly out of the Raleigh/Durham International Airport, take a look at this site before you book your ticket.
US Army MWR Travel - Lots of information on travel, larger focus on package vacations but lots of resources to go through.
MilitaryAvenue.com - Offers very specific information to the Fort Bragg area. Lots of discounts on local hotels and motels, probably more suitable for short term stays near Fort Bragg, but there are some "leisure travel" opportunities as well.
