If you answered yes to any of those questions, then the upcoming "A Shopping Spree" event is for you.
The Junior League of Raleigh (JLR), a volunteer program, presents "A Shopping Spree", an event they have been doing since 1984 to raise money to support programs and projects that help better communities.
With more than 130 vendors, including 40 new vendors, from around the nation and products including but not limited to jewelry, home décor, clothing, shoes and art there is sure to be something for everyone. And, with the holidays coming up just around the corner, not only can you help support your community, but you can get some of that dreaded holiday shopping out of the way!

Starting October 2nd, with a preview day on the 1st, this event is only $10 for ages 6 and up, with admittance to all four days of the show. Located at the Raleigh Convention Center, there is plenty of parking nearby.
October 1st-4th, there are special events each day with a slightly higher entrance fee.
Starting with "Twas the Night Before SPREE!, the Preview Gale is Oct 1st from 7-11pm. It includes private shopping, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and dancing. The cost is $50 and includes beer, wine, a silent auction and a Bailey's raffle ticket. If you plan to attend the preview, please dress in cocktail attire.
October 2's Early Morning Shopping starts off at 8:30-11am with breakfast and includes shopping without worrying about crowds and being bumped into with all those baby strollers. The cost is $25 which includes admission to the rest of the event days.
October 3 is the Blues, Brews and Bar-B-Q event. New to the event this year, running from 6-10pm it includes a barbecue dinner, beer and a live auction. The cost is $35 each.
October 4 is your Weekend Wake-Up and runs from 8:30-10:30am and includes a SPREE! mug with hot coffee and more stroller-free shopping. The cost for this special event is $15.
The regular public hours that are included in the $10 admission ticket are as follows:
October 2 - 11am-8pm
October 3 - 9:30am-5pm
October 4 - 10:30am-6pm
October 5 - 11am-5pm
Also, from 10am-5pm each day there is an Author's Corner, where you can browse books with a southern-twist including non-fiction, fiction, kid's books, cookbooks and more. If you make a purchase, you just might be able to have it signed at the author meet and greet!
