Happy Holly Days Christmas Parade 2008 - Sign Up Now!
I know, I know. It's not even Halloween yet. But for all you Christmas lovers out there, there's nothing better to get into the holiday spirit with than to plan for your very own Christmas Parade entry!
It's not too early - sign ups start now, and final entries are due by Monday, Nov. 24th.
The 14th Annual Happy Holly Days Christmas Parade will march, roll, dance and sing through the streets of small-town Holly Springs NC on Saturday December 13th, starting at 11 am.
Local residents walk from nearby homes to the parade route, or park along the side streets. Plenty of Raleigh residents can be found too - just ask the family sitting next to you!
The Happy Holly Days Parade starts at the Food Lion on Main Street/Business 55. Drive through town early in the morning, and you'll see floats turning into the parking lot, and marching bands warming up! The parade then makes its way to downtown Holly Springs, and ends at the Town Hall.
The week of the parade, each entry will get a color-coded map, line-up instructions, parade exit directions, and a number in line.
At the end of the parade there's still more fun - food booths will be set up in the parking lot of Town Hall for families to wander and enjoy. Classic cars will also be on display near Town Hall.
The Happy Holly Days Christmas Parade features a wide variety of entries, including floats, marching bands, dancers, horseback riders, Scout troops and other walking groups - so no matter what your group does, you'll be able to take part in this small-town Holly Springs tradition!

I am one of those early planners. I just finished my holiday shopping (and wrapped)! I refuse to shop after Halloween and the stores have the best inventory now.
